FAQs
GhostCard is a privacy-first virtual card that lets you pay online without being tracked. It works like cash for the internet - private, minimal, and forgettable.
How does it work?
You generate a GhostCard into your e-wallet, top it up with a set amount, and use it to pay anywhere online that accepts Mastercard (or Visa, depending on partner). Once used, the card can be set to disappear, pause, or reload - it’s up to you.
Do I need to verify my identity?
Not initially. GhostCard is built to be frictionless and anonymous for everyday low-risk spending. For larger top-ups or frequent use, we may be legally required to verify you - but we’ll never collect more than we need.
What makes it different from Revolut, Monzo, or Apple Pay?
They track everything. We don’t. GhostCard isn’t about budgeting or rewards - it’s about freedom and privacy. There’s no spending history, no tracking, no profiling, no personalised ads, no “partners”. Just clean, private transactions.
Is GhostCard a real bank account?
No. GhostCard isn’t a bank. It’s a prepaid virtual card - like cash you can use online. You can’t receive money or use it at ATMs, but you can load it with a set amount and spend it anywhere cards are accepted.
Can I use it on any website?
Almost any. As long as the site accepts standard card payments, GhostCard should work. Some platforms (like gambling or crypto exchanges) may be blocked by our payment partner, but we’ll be upfront about that.
Is it safe?
Yes. We partner with regulated financial institutions and use industry-standard encryption. But more importantly, because we don’t hold your personal data, there’s less risk in the first place.
Who is GhostCard for?
People who hate being tracked
People who want to control what they spend
People tired of spam and data breaches
People who just want to buy something online and get on with their lives
When can I sign up?
Soon. We’re building now and looking for early testers. If that’s you, join the waitlist and you’ll be the first to know when we launch.
